Durkan proposes $50M for homeless housing, renewed tax breaks for developers

JULY 24, Mayor Durkan announced her plan to renew the existing Multifamily Tax Exemption (MFTE) program that provides tax breaks for developers who build affordable units. Seattle’s MFTE program has been a valuable tool since its inception in 1998 that serves low and middle-income residents.
